[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Spotify, we know you don’t like Apple.

You say they don’t play fair and then when they give you access to their speakers and personal assistant you just do nothing. Come on, native support ASAP please

Yes. They have a problem with Apple, so they take it out on their own
customers and in effect encourage them to move over to Apple Music. These
people are unfathomably rich so they must be clever so I guess there's a
cunning plan in all this. But I can't work it out. Not as clever as they
are.

Am a few weeks into using Apple Music after having canceled Spotify, and while Spotify's algo is maybe marginally better, I don't think it's as differentiated as it was before. The difference isn't even worth asking or waiting on Spotify to do HomePod support. This will be my last post, not worth complaining anymore.

Thanks for your efforts. I have to hang on at the moment unfortunately.

The main point of the Homepod or Homepod Mini is to enable voice interaction to ask for your music.

I personally prefer the structure of Spotify, but it does not make any sense to me to pay for two music subscriptions, so in the meantime I switched to Apple Music.

Please Spotify, provide native support for Homepod so the decision of choosing between a service or the other becomes easier for many users...

The main point for me and I would suspect many others is to have a
NATIVE app running on the home pod so you don't have to "airplay" from a
device to it and therefore waste your battery or if you're wandering
around the house have the signal fade or fluctuate when you get a
call...  but that's just me.

I somehow have a bad feeling, now that HomePod is discontinued. Spotify does not seem to make any effort at all and there has not been an update on this post FOR Month. I mean at lest tell us if Apples restrictions might be to tight to have a full Spotify Connect experience? Its just sad...

tryingtothink
But the Mini's are not discontinued so unless they require different Apps??
