[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Been using my apple music account... it's just not as good as spotify
BUT... I have multi room audio and can control the volume of each "zone"
with ease... sorry spotify you're losing customers over a pissing contest.

@abricko: but multi room audio and control of each "zone" is possible with spotify too.. via airplay.

Totally, and I have to use my phone or an ipad or a laptop and keep the
device in a good wifi location... If that were truly spotify's answer it be
pathetic. Sadly, they will not give us an honest answer so we can spread
rumors instead.

Still no Spotify on HomePod. I am from India and now even Gaana and Saavan support HomePods. Shocking. Definitely not renewing if no support for HomePod. Apple Music is a great alternative with lossless audio and special audio.

obvisually HomePods user voice is not loud enough.... I canceled Spotify and well, at the moment, I get more bang for my bucks from apple music... lossless audio, spectial audio...even I don't like apple hud, well but that's manageable.

Spotify doing all it can to promote another product that is popularised
already by the Mini. The bigger HomePods may be a bit niche but I can't see
Apple sitting on its laurels with products and the affordability coupled
with the functionality is on their side too. I wonder what Spotify
shareholders make of all this. Maybe a few million (I'm guessing) Minis are
chickenfeed to Spotify.

Guys, I'm about the cancel my Spotify subscription.

Now I'm moving to Apple Music with all my playlists.

Only one thing I do not know. How can I sort my songs in a definite playlist as a date-added one? in ascending or descending. Please give me a solution to how do you guys do this kind of thing.

Waiting for you're kind reply.

I know it won't do much but instead of just tweeting at @Spotify and @SpotifyCares, people should also tweet at the founder of the actual company. Daniel Ek needs to hear more from the people that use the service so he can't claim that he doesn't know. His handle is @eldsjal.

Great idea! Just tweeted at him. Someone should repost this every now and then so it doesn't get buried deep in here

Well, I cancelled my Spotify Premium subscription over this too. Ended up going with an Apple One Premier subscription which gives me lossless Apple Music on my HomePods and a lot more.

Spotify, your leadership, and those making this decision, are frankly very misguided.
