[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Folks, any updates on this?

@Spotify would be nice if you could start and actually prioritize features that are requested instead of doing random things like shuffling around my library…

A lot of people in this thread seem impatient and even upset. We must appreciate that Spotify is clearly working on some other high-value features first.

I've noticed Mr Musk isn't trying to buy them.

Spotify’s hypocrisy is so blatant on this issue, it’s embarassing. First they complain loudly that the HomePod is a closed ecosyste, is anti-competitive etc. Then, when Apple opens it up they instead just stay silent and keep ignoring the requests of the community. It’s such obvious BS and a clear example of Spotify putting their feud with Apple over the interests of their users. I can’t support that kind of business practice.

Hi. A few posts back someone kindly pasted the response they got from
Spotify recently. Same old words I fear.
