[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Hello folks!

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

What I have been saying.. Apple will not let them do certain things...

In this case, landscape mode for music apps. Apple Music does not go into landscape mode so why should they allow Spotify to do it.

Well, this is not actually true.  I have a iPad  mini (cell + wifi) that  I use as daily driver  in my car and landscape works perfectly fine.   I fail to see how Spotify can implement this feature for a iPad mini  yet can’t do the same for iPhone users.  Check out this link for iPad mini va iPhone X specifications.

Does apple music work in Landscape mode on your Ipad? If it does, then this kinda proves my point.

The  present conversation Is on a Spotify forum pertaining to Spotify in landscape mode on apple products.  I fail to see the relevance of referencing Apple Music in this discussion.   Spotify has implemented landscape mode for the   iPad mini (do not own any other apple tablet sizes), yet to date they have refused to implement landscape for iphones?  I am a iPhone User.   It would appear that the in-house technical expertise to make apple products landscape mode possible already exists; however after several years and a multitude of requests from the iPhone community, our requests have fallen on deaf ears.

Finally, yes, Apple Music does go into landscape mode as well on an iPad mini.

I don’t know why, but now none of my music apps with switch to landscape mode. (Even Apple Music) I have an iPhone 8 Plus and I want landscape for my music apps.

Well, I’d just like to report it looks like landscape mode has disappeared from the Android version now as well. Just noticed this morning after the latest update. Only gone from the now playing screen the rest of it still works in landscape mode but when playing music it doesn’t. Weird..

This is very frustrating.  I ride on my motorcycle everyday and my phone it's on landscape mounted on my bike.  Yet spotify failed to integrate landscape mode on the app 🤦‍♂️ it's been way too long.... And I am too a premium subscriber

when is landscape mode for ios ready for prime time - years more? plenty of other apps out there and I'm checking them out for when my subscription expires - why is this a problem?
