3-dot menu on Now Playing View crashes iOS app

Hey folks!

We're getting reports that accessing the song menu (3-dot menu) on NPV is causing the app to crash on iOS devices. This is being looked into.

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

This should now be resolved 🙂 

Make sure your apps are up to date and, in case you spot this again, try removing your cached data or performing a complete clean reinstall of the app.

 

Should the issue remain, let us know what your device is, alongside its OS version and your Spotify app version.

started happening within the past five days (it is 9 Dec. 2024)

Same issue! Spotify crackles, then freezes for 5 seconds then quits every time I try to set sleep timer using spotify clock icon at bottom of screen or press the 3 dots at top right of screen. iPhone 11 on iOS 16.1.1

I have the same issue with my 2020 Iphone SE iOS 16.6.1 version, I did update to Spotify 8.9.96 too and I have the same noise coming when I click on the 3 dots on any song I’m trying to play and then it crashes. It’s clearly not an isolated case so please fix this asap. We’re paying for a service you’re not providing properly.

Go onto the clock app -> timer. Then for the ringtone go to the bottom and put stop playing. Works the exact same way.

This happened JUST after the latest update for me on Iphone 13 to have the Wrapped 2024. Has anyone found a solution yet or is there a way to downgrade the app in the meantime?
