Audio quality / Sound volume issues on Playstation 5 App

Hey folks!

We're aware of volume issues with the Spotify app on PS5 after a recent update, mainly that the volume output is too low. This is currently being investigated.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience and input so far.

We're setting this issue to Not Right Now as we're unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix at this moment. However, rest assured this will remain on our internal teams' radar and we'll check back in here with a new status when we have any new information to share.

In the meantime, make sure to always keep the app up to date.

Take care.

The issue is within the PS5 app, regardless of the output device. It was not an issue on the PS4, at least not to the same extreme. It doesn't exist on other devices.

So uhhh... update? Progress? Don't care? We do. The volume is so low that if I lower volume to half bar, I can almost not hear the music at all. Please don't leave us in the cold 🥶

Hi there,

It's been way too long without an update for a known issue. Can we please have one?

To the community:

Guys I found some kinda strange behavior that may or may not even be intended but it did allow my PS5 spotify app play at a decent volume - hope it helps somebody else too.

I have spotify installed in (honestly) way too many devices. The PS5 app doesn't have it's own volume control, HOWEVER -IT IS- affected by the volume slider on an app connected to the same account. For example I'm playing music via spotify on my PS5 and I'm moving the volume slider in the app on my PC and that for some completely insane reason -DOES- change the volume played through my PS5 app.

In all honesty that should NOT work like that. The volume between devices should NOT be interconnected but ... -IT IS-.

Quick summary: If you're experiencing low volume in the spotify app after the PS5 upgrade and you have the app installed on your computer - go max out the volume slider on the computer.

Hope this helps somebody and I wish you all Happy Holidays!

@hsyankov Well the issue is from the community mods they’re not doing their job and I’m almost sure they don’t even looking for a solution to report because we all know where is the issue yet they still asking for something we don’t even know more than the exact issue. and literally waiting us to say **bleep** I found a way to work it out.

i wouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly say we finally fix it when they didn’t when alot of people don’t bother reporting this **bleep**.

I’ve said it once and i will say it twice,

they won’t fix this any time close, the mods are acting like they’re trying to get people to say alot of ridiculous things just to make you feel that you They’re looking for many answers to track the exact problem even tho, people had said where the issue is and yet they want your ps5 update and your phone password and are you iPhone user or android or do you like xbox or psn more etc..

Lastly, Spotify mods * real mods * not acters, the issue is (volume normalisation) just turn it off and volume issues will be fixed. and you will be thanked alot behalf of all spotify users.

That's a complete non answer. You just gave us the ran around for 2 straight months and now you're saying you can't figure it out after you took our money? You can't figure out how to turn off volume normalization on an app that didn't have it before after 2 months? You think you can just tell your customers of 5+ years to deal with it after wasting our time and giving you all kinds of info you didn't even need? Absolutely pathetic, your not getting out of this  without giving us a fix. You literally run a music company but think sound quality doesn't matter.

You're really gonna make us keep hitting up your support staff over and over again to make you actually pay attention to this? In going to report it every single day your not getting away with treating us like this.

Yeah good idea to show your real faces rather than saying bs and say keep giving us feedback when you know the issue lol

Either way i’d like to predict when the fix it will be, it’ll never happen.

and thanks for your hard work you really do hard work by giving us no the middle finger♥️
