Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders

We’ve recently received reports from users noticing that the Custom Order sorting option is missing inside folders on both Android and iOS.

Hey everyone! Let me take you through the steps I went through yesterday morning to quickly update my app and solve this problem.

My issue started at the same time as everyone else's. I posted here. Then yesterday morning when the moderator said a new version was out, I went to Google Play over and over and there was no update. Then, I simply Googled: Spotify latest update version 

The top result was this link:

https://www.spotify.com/us/download/other/

I tapped the Google Play link next to Android, and the Google Play page magically changed to offer the update. It says I'm on 9.1.36.1948

I hope this works for others! I'm not sure why it worked or if that actually did anything, but the update not appearing and then me searching for that and it suddenly appearing was over the course of like 30 seconds. It must have done something?

It may be Google Play who are to blame for the delay, perhaps due to the easter holiday.

Still no signs of the update. Pixel 8. Google Play.

Yeah, I'm still on 9.1.34.2060
Might be taking some time to roll out to other regions. I'm in Oceania and we tend to get the short end of the stick for app updates. If it's rectified in a newer update then that's reassuring to hear.

I have the exact same problem - no possibility to custom sort playlists inside folders in mobile app. Folders and playlists outside folders can be custom sorted, but no such option inside a folder. I have a lot of playlists and also I'm very interested in having them sorted in my own order so it is a big inconvenience.

Android 14, Spotify version 9.1.34.2060

I bypassed the Google delay by downloading from a third party site with the newest versions of everything. Had to disable Android's protection against third party sites for half an hour. 

It works. 😀

Can someone from Spotify please let us know when this update might drop for those of us with Android phones that haven't gotten it yet on Google Play?
