Playback issues related to the next song in the queue

We received reports that upon attempting to play a song that's been added to the queue manually (via the Add to queue option), the playback stops completely and the play buttons on the Now Playing View become greyed out, thus preventing advancing to the next track.

In case you're experiencing this issue, make sure to give it a thumbs up and provide us with the following info:

  • your device's make, model and OS version
  • the exact version of Spotify you're running
  • the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far

Thanks! We'll pass the details on to our tech folks so they can look further into this. In the meantime, try clearing the queue via the Clear queue button on the desktop app / Web Player to see if that does the trick.

I was listening to a playlist and added a song into the queue, however it does not play the song and the all the music stops. I have to clear the queue to continue listening. This does not happen on the website version and I can queue songs normally.

My query is that I am trying to add music to my queue on my Ipad this issue occurred i believe yesterday, the first selected song will play completely fine however the next song in the queue will freeze and won’t play at all. I would like to know why this is happening and how i can fix this

After a song is finished whole app stops and no music can be played, there is no other way than to close app and start over but after one song the same thing happens. Reinstall doesn't help

YES!!! This bothers me soooo much, I need to click another song every time.

I'm also struggling with the same thing, it's so frustrating. I hope they respond and give a solution soon. No restarting, no re-installing work.

I have tried with restarting, re-installing and everything logical but i'ts still the same, always after just one song the whole app stops (also in web ) and don't reproduce what's next on the album or playlist, I have to manually click on the next song to heard it, and after it's over the same cycle repeats. ¿What can I do? I've seen other people with the same problem and it's frustrating.
In years and years of using the app this is the first time I've ever got an error.

Every time I play my music, it stops at the end of the song and just goes silent. If there's an ad after the song, it plays the ad and then stops playing after the ad. I reinstalled the app yesterday and it worked but I tried playing music today and it still had the same problem. I'm on an android, by the way.
