Podcast episodes showing as unplayed

We're seeing reports that finished podcast episodes are showing as unplayed.

In order for us to take this backstage, we'd like to ask you for the following info:

• Your device's make & model
• Its OS version
• Your Spotify app version
• The affected podcasts
• If the issue persists across multiple platforms (Web Player, desktop app, mobile app etc.)

Just to confirm - I assume you're doing this directly in the podcast page and not in Your Episodes, right? Can you test on another device to check if you get the same behavior there? If possible, have someone log in their own account on your device to see if they experience the same issue. 

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far? If not, I'd recommend starting off with a clean reinstall, since this might have something to do with some damaged cache, which will be removed this way. You can also log out and back in a couple of times in a row afterwards to make sure everything's synced.

Same here. Only with desktop app, smartphone app is working fine. Already reinstalled and uninstalled app, made sure windows is up-to-date, but the problem persists. At least it's good to know I'm not alone with it.^^

Yup, same for me. Only on pc, phone app works fine.

I have the same problem. Not showing on my PC app, showing on the phone. The same account. It's definitely something on the PC app's side.

same thing happening for me. I can see progress and finished podcasts on my iPhone's Spotify App, but the PC app resets this every time its reopened.

Same for me, on Windows 11 app and iPhone app. No episodes are showing as 'Finished' now and I've completely lost track of where I am in a number of podcasts I follow.
