Premium users hearing ads in music

Status: Fixed

We've received reports that active Premium users are hearing ads interrupting their music listening experience.

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

This should now be fixed. If you're still having issues, remember to log out of the app and back in again 2-3 times in a row in order to force a resync.

I've got it as well. Also I can't change audio quality settings.

This started happening to me today, the Spotify app then just completely stopped working through my Apple Watch! It’s so glitchy, considering moving to Apple Music tbh

Just happened this morning while Air Playing music to my Amazon Echo. Heard several ads while listening to Nick Drake - Way To Blue - An Introduction To Nick Drake (Remastered).

I've just heard the first ad and searched for an issue because I knew there was something wrong. I've had Premium Duo license for years now, first time hearing an ad since then.

Same for me! Did all the steps to try and fix it and still not working. This is very annoying considering how expensive the plan for duo now is.

Seeing and hearing ads on Premium Family web app. I will cancel if this does not get solved quickly! Don't tell me to "log out and in again"... fix it on your side.

 I got like 3 advertisements back to back while listening this morning. I exited out, log in and out and I would still get advertisements. I pay for premium to avoid advertisements, so what’s the point? @Spotify

I'm also having this issue. It is unacceptable that this issue was identified a month ago and still has no resolution.

I have for the first time noticed ads between songs. This has happened approximately every 4-6 songs. I was able to replicate it by skipping songs until the ads returned. 

 

I was able to force more ads by skipping songs; got a string of 3 in a row, all 30 seconds and unskippable. was for "Raising Kanan on Stars". Second ad was for Betterhelp. Third was for "Dehli Boys on Hulu."

 premium here also, getting ads constantly
