Some users unable to log in on iOS devices

We're seeing some reports from iOS users saying they get the error message "Something went wrong. Try again." when trying to log in with email/username + password, despite entering the correct credentials.

Thanks for your patience while we investigated this issue.

 

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed!

 

If you're still having issues, try the following troubleshooting to see if that does the trick:

  • Use another Wi-Fi network. You can ask a friend or a relative to create a mobile hotspot for you.
  • Try with cellular data instead.
  • Try logging in without a password or using another login method (if available) such as Apple, Google or Facebook.
  • Perform a clean reinstall of the app.

We've received news from our tech team that this should be fixed. Can you please check on your end and confirm that logging in works as expected?

Hi @Yordan 

Still doesn’t work for me.

I tried changing my password, but I still get the same error. I noticed that there was an update to the Spotify app, but that update didn’t change anything. Still the same “Something went wrong”-error.

@Yordan Im sorry but this still has not been resolved for me.
I have tried every suggestion you have given.

Ive completed reinstalled everything, ive tried logging in from wifi in 5 different countries as-well as data.

Ive had this issue for 2 months and its extremely frustrating.

I can login on practically every other device i won except my ios app.

Email login emails never send, i tried attaching a apple id login to my account but that always ended with “something went wrong”.
Please I don't know what else to do.
