"Something went wrong" error on desktop app and web player for Turkish users

We're receiving reports from users in Turkey that they’re encountering an error on the desktop app and web player.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure you're not using a VPN and your app is updated to the latest version.

I also have an account from Turkey and I'm abroad now. I'm having the same issue with my desktop version, my mobile version is working fine. But nothing worked for the desktop version until now...

we are from turkey as well, having the same issue with 4 different computers. now my friend's issue is solved but I am still having the same error since in the morning

OS version: macOS Sequoia 15.1.1

Spotify version: Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon) 1.2.52.442.g01893f92

i solved it this way and the issue was fixed. this problem usually happens on mac os computers. click on the "help" option at the top then select "troubleshooting" from the dropdown you'll see an option that says "reset data and restart" once you click it the app will revert to its original version when first downloaded and the issue should be resolved.
