My Question or Issue
Hey,
So since yesterday my BMW iDrive is not showing the correct information for any Song, Artist or Album Art, whatever song is playing on Spotify once the car is turned on is the information displayed until the car is restarted again. Is there any reason/fix for this? It's only small but, it's also rather frustrating.

Could you share with us the troubleshooting you’ve already done? As mentioned on this thread, you can start with a clean reinstall on your mobile device to see if this makes a difference.
Make sure to verify if your devices are up to date, including any BMW software updates if available.
If this doesn't do the trick, can you let us know the exact make/model and operating system of your current device along with the Spotify version you use?

If you're experiencing issues with the metadata not being displayed properly while connected to the car head unit, could you share the following information, which our tech team needs for the investigation:
- Is the metadata not displayed properly on the phone or on the car head unit?
- if it is on the phone, are you using the CarView or the regular Now Playing View to display the album art/metadata?
- Photos of the actual behavior will help us a lot in understanding what is exactly going on on your end.

The metadata is displayed correctly on both the phone and the car head unit. The only thing that doesn't show up is the album artwork. I have used the CarView and the Now Playing View to display but they both don't display the album artwork. I'm attaching a few photos.

It's getting really annoying now can you please solve this problem as soon as possible. because of this problem i started using applemusic and i noticed the sound quality is better but i still want to use spotify but this problem is blocking me.

This is a deal breaker also for me. Has stopped working these last few weeks. Would hate to have to switch to Apple Music or another provider over this, but I would.
I have the same issue - updated iDrive to latest available version available UPD05074_en Aug 2016 (2014 F32), Spotify for iOS 8.7.55.382, iPhone 12 PRO software 15.6. Same issue on Bluetooth or USB.
Is anyone at Spotify actually taking this seriously? We have reported it over and over again and there has been no progress or fix. We have shared images, and the versions we are using, and nothing has happened. Are you all working on a fix? Other music apps are working perfectly.
I agree, this issue has been going on for far too long now. Please get this fixed as soon as possible!
I have the same issue. BMW f34 2014, I drive latest version available for this model, Spotify latest version available, iOS 15.6.1, iPhone XS. It gets strange because album art is shown after i pause the track and push play again… album art also is show on the first track after the connection, but not on the following ones… and then, it randomnly appears in one track and then not shown again….
Is anyone at Spotify actually taking this seriously? We have reported it OVER AND OVER AGAIN and there has been NO progress or fix. We have shared images, and the versions we are using, and nothing has happened. Are you all working on a fix? Other music apps are working perfectly. If this problem will continue like this, I want my money back and I will cancel my membership.
Same issue going on. I have the latest iPhone 14 Pro with the latest software on Spotify and iOS.
My 2011 535I X Dr. shows the wrong song in the cover art only on the first song I play. Very frustrating.

That is a major issue when mobile since I don't pick up the phone. If they can make this work (Apple) and Spotify can not then so be it. Very Very disappointed but I guess you have forced us onto the less user-friendly platform.
