Hey folks. Check that your audio output isn't an external monitor or something like that. After coming here I thought I'd change the audio output back to the original setting which is the computer and it fixed the issue. The glitch had to do with the connection of the second display. I knew it didn't feel like a Wifi issue or something with the program. It felt old school connection issue. So there is something faulty going on with the connection, but it's no biggie for me. I just move the sound slightly closer to my other desk that's next to the computer set up. Pretty sure any bluetooth devices won't have this problem. I bought the display used and it was older than my computer so it might have some kind of issue.

I have Tesla Y 2024, I added the app the the Tesla and can only get Spotify to play 30 seconds. I have premium Spotify acct. help
I have tried all of these steps and its still not working. spotify keeps pausing itself every 30 seconds. Im android, ive done the full clean reinstall as per the guide. I've gone into apps, then spotify then battery, and changed it from optimize to unrestricted.
hi i also have the same issue with spotify pausing when i opened new app, other times it also pauses when i stayed on one app. i already uninstalled the app and deleted the cache. the customer service also told me to reset my phone but is that really something i have to do just to have my spotify function properly? like i definitely don't want to do that.
Hey @rie_wy,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the thread.
We appreciate the troubleshooting you've done so far. To continue investigating this behavior and before suggesting a factory reset of your device, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device (it could be the same friend or relative) to see if the issue persists.
Lastly, since this could be related to the network connection, we'd recommend trying with a different Wi-Fi connection to see if the issue persists. In case you don't have another one available, you can use your mobile data or a hotspot to test it.
Let us know how it goes.
Hello,
since a few weeks now i have issues with my Spotify. Doesn't matter if it's on my Phone (android) or on my Pc, the music stop every few seconds. I have to press play again and again and again. I have uninstalled the app several times, logged out, re-downloaded, and cleared the cache multiple times now, but it still doesn't work. It was not like that when i started to use Spotify. It's so annoying !
Your device model, OS version and Spotify version: it happens in all of the versions, pc, android and ipad, so it seems more a software thing
didnt work for me, Tried reinstalling and pressing repeat but music still pausing at night
I know this thread already has an "accepted solution," but honestly, none of the official steps (like removing Discord or doing a clean reinstall) worked for me on my phone. I was still getting those incredibly frustrating pauses every few minutes.
I finally figured out what was causing it on my end, so I wanted to drop this here in case anyone else is still struggling with this issue months later.
It actually turned out to be an aggressive battery optimization issue on my device, not a third-party app conflict. Because I listen to music continuously while keeping background tabs open to calculate my work hours, my phone's OS was aggressively suspending Spotify's background processes to save RAM and battery life.
The Fix that worked for me: If you are on Android, go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Battery, and change the usage from "Optimized" to "Unrestricted". (On iOS, make sure Background App Refresh is fully toggled on for Spotify and that Low Power Mode isn't interfering).
Once I stopped my phone from trying to "manage" Spotify in the background, the random pausing completely stopped. Hope this helps anyone who is still stuck!
Nothing changed in the network (same provider and highspeed for years), no new stereoparts (B&W speakers, NAD BluOS streaming DAC C 658), but some time ago (maybe 2/3 months) my music disconnects from the streaming DAC. It stops in the app too, so a simple connect does the trick, but sometimes i need to connect several times a day and that is bothering me.
Tried it with an old phone (Asus Wing) and on different networks/different equipment. Problem still exists. It happenes at random, sometimes after hours, sometimes within the firt hour...

Spotify music stops intermittently - no sound. Middle of playlist and then nothing.
