My Question or Issue

When going to https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/googlehome/redeem/ to redeem my google home mini, after being a premium subscriber for years, I am greeted with "We're sorry but you're not able to redeem at this moment." 

I notice this seems to be an ongoing issue for US customers and also can't help but notice I never received an email advertising this promotion.  This seems like a huge attempt to grab new customers while shafting your existing ones pretending like it's an error or bug when it is simply just not part of your plan to accomodate existing customers.  Please provide a solution and not just links to the same redeem pages over and over which seemed to be all that was done for US customers.

Ah ok sorry im in canada and it only excludes the family plan

I am relatively new to Spotify, and I must say, for a new-ish member, the way that this Google Home Mini promo has been handled has been very disoncerting.  I am very clearly on a premium plan, paid till the end of July, $9.99 a month.  Yet for some reason I am not eligble for the promo.  

This community thing is great, but where is an actual Spotify representative with an answer to this?  There are now multiple threads on this issue and no solution.  

Please keep the community informed.  I would rather be told that the promo expired due to supplies running out, or that I'm not eligible because my choice in music sucks, something, anything, other than being offered something and having that offer not validated.

Can we please get a valid solution to this.

Unfortunately we've had a ton of issues with this. Girlfriend had a Premium account for a few months, went to apply for the free Google Home Mini, it made her sign up again (? So that cost an additional $10). When she was finally able to try to get her Home Mini, it charged her the full $80+tax, so we had to cancel the order. It's now telling her that she has already got her Google Home Mini so it won't allow her to retry. Any help?

Finally got a proper response but it looks like just another mass email they sent out.

Update: I've received an email with details and was able to successfully claim the promotion.

I had premium (have been paying for it for a while now) and sent in the request to get the home mini. I recieved the email today to redeem my home mini and when I went in to redeem it the website says I don't qualify. The website then directed me to to subscribe for premium. I have the family premium package though. How do I fix this?

Family does not qualify in Canada for the offer.

I received the notice email. Click and jump to google’s page, but it’s still out of stock. It’s so sad.

I went through all the steps but then a promo code was not applied at checkout.....I didn’t want to get charged for it so I cancelled. Now I can’t get it at all?

Yeah I FINALLY got the email. Went to the site, added to cart. About to check out then google flakes out and I get the error code - then it was removed from my cart as the chalk one was "sold out" - but it isnt sold out if you are just shopping on google's store. I feel pretty scammed at this point.

I had that, clicked refresh and it worked

Just keep refreshing the page. I had to do that like 100 times but finally got it

Ok so I got an email saying I can claim the google home mini but it's out of stock. refreshed the page a few times and get the add to basket to work but now it is saying the item is out of stock when I check out and that the promo code is applied. 

 

First premium for family isn't included in the promotion, now switched over to premium still getting issues claiming this thing.

 

Looks like Im switching over to Another streaming service. 

so the grey is out of stock and charcoal is coming soon.

why send the email to redeem if there isn't any available?

I just got an email saying my google home mini was now available. I clicked on the link but they are out of stock.? How do I redeem my offer 

I received an email that my device is ready to order but while re-directed to Google Store it gives me "out of stock" info. How should I proceed? Will I get another email form spotify that its back and I can order?
