Change from Duo to Family

My Question or Issue

I currently have Premium Duo and want to join a Premium Family. It's the same address and my parents created the Family account while I had created the Duo account before. Now, when I try to join the Family account it says "There has been a problem." Do I first need to change to a Free account? Or is it because I created the Duo account only half a year ago?

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community, I'll be here to help you out. In order to join the Premium for Family plan, first I'd recommend following these steps to cancel your current Duo subscription. When your account reverts to Free, you should be able to join the family plan with no problems.
