Reduced fee for Artist?

Hi there,

I have a a premium subscription but I'm also a contributing artist whose music is shared on spotify, through Tunecore. I've heard that Artists don't have to pay for their subscriptions. Is this true and how would I go about about getting an artist account, if such a thing exists?
