[iOS][Connect] Duo: Two seperate accounts vs one account with two users.

[iOS][Connect] Duo: Two seperate accounts vs one account with two users.

Wife and I are new to Spotify and we love it.  Upgrading to Duo so that we can use Spotify in different locations simultaneously.  Spotify on Roku from our TV or Amazon Echo devices or CarPlay in our autos are additional complications.  Wife is very happy to have me curate our playlists but this is all not convenient with the two separate account approach.  Can you  please consider offering Duo as either a two separate account arrangement OR a one account with two users basis.  That way, as two people, we can play Spotify separately from whatever device without pre-empting each other?

Hi there @DV_Fla,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

We moved your post to a relevant Help board to give you more info about how the Duo subscription works.

Premium Duo is for two people who live together, each with their own personal account. This means that each person can listen to their own music on their own devices without interrupting the other person's listening session.

That said, there are some devices that require a linking process, such as Amazon Echo speakers. To use Spotify on those, it's necessary to link a Spotify account with the Amazon account registered in the speaker/app. You can find more info in this post.

If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers.
