3 Months for $0.99 as a gift

I am trying to gift the 3 months for $0.99 as a gift. When I go to the gift section, the deal is not there 😞 is there a way I can gift the deal? Thanks and happy holidays!!

Unfortunately not. The $0.99 offer is only eligible with regular payment methods. 

A gift card is only eligible with regular payment methods too (not with Spotify student discount).

Would it be allowed if I wanted to just pay the $0.99 and transfer it to somebody's account for 3mo Premium? I'd like to do this as a surprise gift for someone.
