Cancel Subscription doesn't accept my password

Hi.

The web page for the last step to cancel my subscription where I need to enter my password.. doesn't accept my password and claims it's wrong, even though it's exactly the same I entered a couple pages earlier to log in.

I assume this has something to do with the special characters in my password.

Please confirm and fix - or at least tell me that you won't fix it (before 2016 April 26).

That won't be necessary. My initial assumption was correct though. I changed my password to an alphanumeric one and the cancellation procedure worked right away.

Some of the special characters of my original password don't work with that specific page and they somehow confuse the underlying script, even though they do work with the login script and when changing the password, obviously.

Thanks for trying to help though, Maxim.

Hey there,

Try visiting https://www.spotify.com/us/account/cancel/ in an Incognito window. If you don't know how to open a Incognito window, here is a tutorial.

Let me know if that works.

That didn't work. It's exactly the same as in a non-incognito (non-private) window.

Can you try using another browser and eventually clear cache and cookies?

Yea. No luck though.

I've now tried this with Firefox, Waterfox, Opera, Chrome and Edge.

Clearing the session history (including cookies and cache) doesn't help either. (There was none with Edge or Opera anyway.)

Ok. How about trying it on a mobile device?

No. I think that's gone far enough with the different browsers etc. It's not my cache, cookies or browsers that are at fault here.

I'll just try the obvious solution here and then get back here.
