My Question or Issue
I use Spotify Premium at work- either on my phone or my computer. Both are connected to the company network (LAN or WiFi). Today I noticed my coworker's computer showed up on my list of devices. This is disturbing. Do all devices with Spotify show up if they're on the same network, regardless of whether they're logged into the same account? MAKE IT STOP!!!
If you have an iPhone, I found a workaround outside of Spotify that seems to work. I also have the same problem in my workplace. I use the WI-FI there, but I don't want random people listening to my music.
Again, this only works for iPhone, but:
- Go to Settings
- Privacy and Security
- Local Network
- Toggle off "Spotify".
This worked for me. It prevents Spotify from showing my device to other devices in the same network. Maybe there's something similar for Android as well. Hope it helps.

My Question or Issue
Currently I live in an apartment complex which has a shared network between various apartments and because of this whenever I open the app Spotify Connect immediately starts searching through over 50 devices and while doing so will lag every single other aspect of the app, from playing a song to downloading an album to searching for other songs to loading lyrics to everything else. I know I can just use the offline mode but I would rather be able to use the app with its online features rather than using what basically becomes an mp3 player with no other features.
So, is this bug going to be fixed?
No, it will never be fixed. Along with all the others that have caused me to cancel my subscription after being with them from the start. It's a clown show now. Servants to their advertising masters.

My Question or Issue
In the last 2-3 days every time i lauch the app there's like a pop up that indicates that spotify is searching a device in the local network to connect to. I tried disabling the apps permit to near devices or disabling directrly bluetooth or wifi but it keeps popping up. Already tried things like reinstalling or erasing cache.
