My Question or Issue

Any time I open my app it is in offline mode. Spotify tells me to turn on 'on-line mode' in my settings, but I see no option to turn online mode on. I cannot connect to anything without being on wifi. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times, it is up to date. 

 

Please help me turn on-line mode on.

Hey @eae1527, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

 

Could you try turning off Offline Mode by going to Settings (gear Icon) in the Spotify app > Playback > Toggle Offline to OFF. 

 

If that doesn't work, let me know if you're able to use Spotify when your on a data network, or a wifi connection. 

Also, keep in mind Spotify will work offline if your device is not connected to a wifi network.

So, when offline mode is Toggled OFF, and you're on a network connection - it still says to go online and try again?

 

Can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing exactly? Make sure to hide sensitive information when posting to the Community.

Hey there @eae1527,

Just jumping in here to help you sort this one out.

Thanks for all the cooperation and screenshots so far! They really help us out. We recommend that you check if Spotify has the necessary permissions:

  1. Open your Settings menu.
  2. Scroll to the bottom to find Spotify and open the app setting.
  3. Make sure that Mobile Data is enabled (green).
