I have tried to deactive my Facebook account several times, but it winds up getting brought back whenever I use Spotify. I have tried changing the email my Spotify account is linked to, but I cannot because I don't remember what I originally used to even set up my account. My Spotify is attached to my Facebook account and I cannot change any of this within Spotify because I can't remember my Spotify password, as opposed to my Facebook password

 

I have already followed the instructions on the "Help" page and it has not resulted in anything different. Despite changing my Facebook password four different times, I'm still unable to switch my Spotify account password. It says they don't match. 

 

I want my Spotify account password reset, so that I can reset the email associated with it. The current email associated with my Spotify account isn't even active. My school deleted student emails from their system. 

 

Please help me resolve this problem.

Hi there! I recommend reaching out directly to Spotify Support. With this anonymous online contact form, you can reach them without subscribing to / having access to a Spotify account or the email that was used to create that account.

 

The support team should be able to help you migrate your playlists from your old account to the new one.

Make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify. Once you get it, make sure to reply back right away, even if it says it's from a "no-reply" email.

I have access. That's not the issue. My issue is that I cannot change any information within my Spotify account because it says my password is incorrect. 

 

I was really hoping to avoid submitting forms and all of that jazz. It's a little ridiculous that I have to type this problem out fifteen different times to get a solution because there's no customer service number to call. I don't want to explain this problem for the one-millionth time and I shouldn't have to because you guys couldn't include a "forgot your password" link within your system. 

 

It's a simple password change. I'm not trying to set up five different accounts and move playlists. I'll just cancel my premium subscription if that's what it is going to take. 

Gotcha! Sorry for my confusion. Go to https://play.spotify.com/ and click "login" at the bottom. There should be an option to say that you forgot your password in grey letters. Click that link.
