Spotify switches on automatically when launching Mozilla Firefox (Mac)

Hi there,

I have started to experience recently very annoying issue on my Macbook Pro's Spotify app - whenever I switch on Mac and launch Mozilla Firefox, Spotify automatically launches and starts playing a song that I have never heard before - every single time, the same song!

I have tried to reinstall the app, log out from all of the devices, reset password but nothing works.

It would be great to know if anyone has faced this problem and has a solution for it, thanks!

Can you confirm that you followed the steps that's provided in this article? There's some more steps to help thoroughly uninstall the app from your device, so if you haven't, we'd highly suggest it since the steps will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.
 

We also suggest that you clear your cache and cookies in your web browser.

 

Let us know how it goes so that we can continue to assist you if the issue persists.
