Hey @1163965094!
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community. That's weird. Spotify connect shouldn't be connecting to any other accounts, only to other devices. How mysterious. Let's see if we can figure this out. Could you answer some questions?
.
Please also have a look at:
for example.
Hey @1163965094
Sometimes, though very very rarely, Spotify accounts get mashed together for some reason. Seems like that happened to you. So far you're the second person I've encountered with this problem, after hundreds of threads.
The bad news: I can't help you.
The good news: Support totally can. Go to Accounts>Other>I still need help then explain the situation to them and send them the link to this thread.
If you get an automated reply answer to that email. They'll get back to you then. 😉
Please mark this post as a solution so people with the same problem will know what to do.
I thought this is the support forum which is actually maintained by spotify employees and that it is actually not is highly missleading. Another thing to notice is that the data that you asked from me is actually used by the spotify support team as some kind of user authentication. So asking this to users in a forum is highly inappropriate.
Anyway thanks for trying to help, but spotify should clarify that this is NOT a support forum and that even data like the used devices can be used to access my account over the support
Hey @1163965094!
Sorry to hear you feel mislead. I am not a Spotify Employee but a 'Rock Star'. We have acess to all sorts of help (including the Spotify staff) and we try to solve problems around here. While we are not employees, usually our help is enough.
As for the data I asked, it is policy to ask that first so that the Support team has less work to do. They can access your account with just your username (the data I asked you for does not provide anyone access, don't worry!) but it can be used to identify the problem. The data is not used as user authentication.
This is a support forum, only most of the help comes from other users (Rock Stars included). Most problems are fairly easy to solve, which is what the Rock Stars are for. Anything we can't do we send through to Support.
I hope this clarifies stuff for you.
Happy Tuesday!
