can't create a new account with an unused email?

I want to create a new account with a email that is different from the one I am using on this account. However, Spotify will not let me use the email I wish to use because there seems to be an account already linked to it. I do not have an account linked to the email I want to use for my new account.

I had a facebook account conected to the email i would like to use, and that facebook account was connected to sportify, but it has been deleted for some time now, so i dont know what account my email is connected to or how to disconnect it.

Is there anyway i can disconnect whatever account is connected to my email and use it to make a new one?
