[Android 5.0+] Use primary SD CARD please!

My phone internal storage only 8 GB and free only 1 GB>**
The Google Play Music, Deezer have the storeage select:
-Internal (Phone storage)
-External (SD card)

But only Spotify not have this option. If have update then i delete old version and clear app data aagin and again and reinstall and move external SD on phone. But if i closed the app then logout my profile. So again clear appdata and uninstall and reinstall.

Spoiler
All f*king update.

Why not add simple "Select Storage" option?
The Windows PC version have "Download cache location" option but android not have but why?

Hi,

You can change your storage location by selecting "Storage" on bottom of the settings menu. Make sure you have the latest version of the app. Let me know if it worked.

Cheers!

Hi,

the Spotify app does have an option to select storage in the settings, it is at the very bottom of the settings screen, but it will only be shown if the app recognized an SD card.
Your problem could be caused by the Spotify app or your SD card, so I would say you start with doing a full reinstallation of the app to eliminate the possibility of an app problem:

- Go to System Settings

- Go to "Apps"

- Find Spotify there

- On Spotify's page, first, tap "Force Close"

- Then tap "Clear cache" if it's not greyed out.

- Then tap "Unninstall" and remove the app.

- After uninnstalling, power off your device.

- If you can, remove the battery now. Power back on.

- Using a file manager on your phone or with your USB cable and your computer, go to Internal Storage > Android > Data and delete a folder called com.spotify.mobile.android.ui

- Reinstall Spotify from Google Play

if this does not work the problem is likely caused by a problem with your SD Card,

here are a few things you could try:

1. try using a different SD card

2. make sure you have enough space left on the SD card (more than 1GB)

3. format SD card (WARNING! this will delete all your files on the SD card so     make sure you backup them before).

Please report back if this worked 🙂

Good luck!
