My Question or Issue
not rlly too much to add beyond the title. occasionally the queue will start acting up and just pause automatically each time a song ends for no discernible reason, and so i have to go and unpause it each time a song ends. its kinda annoying
Hi @lemmonsandsugar,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
To start and make sure that there's no corrupted cache that's causing this behavior I recommend clearing the cache and giving Spotify a clean reinstall with the steps here. It's more detailed than a regular reinstall.
Have you noticed if this issue started happening after a specific event? Does it only occur when playing from the queue and only on the phone?
It'd be very helpful if you could test with a different internet connection, as well as on another device.
Keep us in the loop 🙂
sorry for not having gotten around to replying sooner, but ive tried clean reinstalls a couple times and havent had any luck. and while i dont use them as often for listening to music i havent noticed the issue on my ps5 or laptop, nor have i noticed any consistent patterns whenever it has occurred on my phone (which is also to say its happened when using both mobile data and wifi)
Hey @lemmonsandsugar,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the shared info.
Just to cover all the basics, would you mind checking if you have the Autoplay feature active? If not, we'd recommend turning it on to see if it makes any difference.
Also, and if possible, could you record a short video where we can take a better look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).
Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
I still have the same issue - it has not been fixed on Xiaomi mi 12t pro - latest Spotify installed. Very annoying to the point where I'm considering a switch

My Question or Issue
I have a similar issue and can provide more details. I already tried reinstalling and that did not work. It stops playing at or near the end of songs about 10-100% of the time (sometimes it's every 10 songs, sometimes it's every song). I'm specifying "stop" instead of "pause" because I can't simply press play on my earbuds/media controller. I have to go to the Spotify app the start it again. The app has not crashed.
It has done it on playlists and albums (not shuffled). It does it in the new mixes too.
I'm using a OnePlus 12. It never does it on my desktop computer. I am using lossless, and I don't think the issue existed before lossless was added. I have not tried turning on autoplay because I don't want that feature on (not a real solution even if it fixes this issue). I have not tried reducing quality or turning off gapless playback because, again, those are not real solutions.
Hey @joem217,
Thanks for joining the thread and for sharing these details. Knowing what troubleshooting steps you've already tried is very helpful for the investigation.
Because lossless audio uses more data, your OnePlus 12's aggressive background settings are likely freezing Spotify to save power.
As you've already performed some standard troubleshooting, here are some additional steps to go over:
To help us narrow this down further, could you let us know the exact make and model of your earbuds, and if you use any third-party audio equalizers on your phone?
We'll be on the lookout for your response.
Hi @joem217,
Thanks for the reply.
Does this only happen when using specific headphones and/or playing over Bluetooth? When did this first start occurring? Did it coincide with an update to the app or Android?
Keep us posted.
Thanks for the response @joem217.
As far as I understand, this behavior happens only when you're connected to BT speakers and earbuds, but not when streaming from the phone's built-in speakers.
To help us investigate even further, could you clarify:
Appreciate your input and don't hesitate to let us know if anything else comes up in the meantime.
