This is where we share updates from behind the scenes and let you know what has been fixed, what we’re tracking, what we need your help with, and where things stand. FIXED
1. Buttons in top right corner of windows desktop app have top margin
We've made some changes to improve how the window controls (close, minimize, maximize) behave in the desktop app.
2. Recently Played won't load
Fixed for most users, but we're still keeping an eye out for new reports.
3. Downtime 4th Sept: Google services are down affecting Spotify
The teams at Google acted promptly on this one.
4. Main Search Bar Issue: Windows 10
This is now working as expected.
5. Podcast starting next episode, or ending, before end of podcast
Fixed!
6. Cannot get 6 months free offer of Student Premium even though I am eligible
The issue is fixed, but the offer is currently not available.
7. MacOS, Spotify Crashing Immediately on Startup
All good now!
8. [Downtime 10.09.] Web log in and other related services are currently down
This one was quickly resolved by our tech team.
9. Report Content form is broken
The form should be working as expected now.
10. Siri play requests not working with Spotify
Working again, if anyone's still experiencing issues they can reach out to Apple for further troubleshooting.
11. Sound capsule not updating
Happy to share this should now be resolved.
12. Smart Shuffle keeps turning itself on
Fixed!
13. My audiobook has been removed
This is a matter of availability. The audiobooks mentioned in the thread have been removed for a variety of reasons, which is why they aren't visible anymore.
14. Downtime September 16th, 2025: Users unable to log in and/or play content
A very brief hiccup on our end, all is good now.
15. [iOS] Length of podcasts doesn´t show in Your Episodes
The length of the podcast is visible again, thanks for flagging this one folks!
16. Issues redeeming gift cards
Fixed, so if you're having issues redeeming your gift card, follow the steps from this article and if it's still not working, post a new thread in the relevant help board here.
17. Employee tools visible in settings in the new iOS TestFlight version 9.0.76.228
This is a special addition to the list as one of our Community stars flagged the issue and it led to a quick resolution. Thanks @MattSuda!

18. Songs are always played randomly from list on BMW
This will be fixed on BMW's side.
19. Delay with Media Controller
We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment, but we’re regularly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone, so your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
20. (Desktop) Playback issues with local files
We've marked this as Not Right Now for the time being but it's on our radar. Make sure to check the floated reply for a workaround for the issue.
UNDER INVESTIGATION
21. Users on Android devices can't play content in Offline mode
If you're experiencing this issue, make sure to add your vote and let us know whether you're seeing a black screen or an error message saying you're offline.
22. Spotify charts not updating
Our teams are aware of the issue and are actively working to resolve it.

23. Songs going silent on Android app
We've moved this to a new thread, make sure to share the requested details if you're experiencing this.
24. App keeps switching to repeat
This is being investigated, so if you haven't sent over your device details yet, please do as it will speed up the investigation.
25. App not working/ constantly loading on Samsung S22 (Android 15 + One UI 7)
We've shared some troubleshooting steps and we're keeping track of new reports.
