My Issue:

I'm just gonna do this timeline wise.
So about a week and a half ago i noticed my mobile app and desktop app stopped syncing. completely. Meaning that i could play 2 different songs on the same account, and my new liked songs stopped appearing on my phone when i liked them on PC. I didn't try vice versa.
Both my phone and PC are relatively new.
Yesterday, Spotify suddenly stopped playing and when i checked what was going on, i saw that it acted as if i was offline. I was not.
Eventually it got me online again and I just moved on. Today, it happened again. so i tried to reopen Spotify and i got just a grey screen for like 5-7 minutes. i looked into that problem, and as i was about to try and fix it my Spotify loaded and i saw my username was a bunch of letters and numbers, and my profile picture disappeared.
I was confused so i tried redownloading it.
After all that, the state it's in right now, is literally not usable. It takes 10 minutes for it to load, then i can't access my liked songs (it tells me i don't have any), and even if i could, i can't play them anyway because if i press play in any way, it doesn't do anything.
On browser i can view everything perfectly, but can't play anything either.
On mobile, the same thing happens as on Pc, except the grey screen.
On mobile browser it just redirects me to the mobile app.

And no, i didn't download Spotify from any suspicious site.
On my PC i got it when i booted it up the first time, it was an option to download from windows. On my phone i got it from Play store.
It's not region, my dad can access everything fine.

I've tried:
Restarting everything like 10 times (app, device, router..)
Redownloading Spotify 5 times
Running as admin
waiting
Relogging in
Logging into another account
Doing all these in different orders

The Screenshot is what it looks like for me when i look at my liked songs. Playlists won't load. I can look up songs but not play them.

Hi @Liam333,

Welcome to the Community!

Kudos for already doing some troubleshooting steps and thanks for sharing all those details. You mentioned that you've redownloaded Spotify, but have you tried with a detailed clean reinstall? It's a bit different than a regular one and I recommend performing it on your devices as it helps fix different performance issues. You can follow the steps here.

On your computer it's possible to download the app both from the MS Store and our website, so I also recommend deleting the version you're currently using and giving it a test on the other one as they can have different behavior.

When it comes to Spotify showing as offline, make sure you've not accidentally switched to offline mode as this can result in different actions not synching between your devices for example (such as you liking new songs on one of the devices).

You mentioned that you've restarted the router, but have you tested with a different internet connection? You can do so with mobile data and share it via hotspot to your PC.

Lastly, if the issue persists, it'd be very helpful if you could send us some screenshots or even a video recording so we can check out how things look like from your end. You can attach them via the Insert Image/Video options in the post editor. If the video's too big, then you can upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon 🙂
