This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Great now I’m seeing horoscopes. My horoscope says move on to something better than this trash of a service called Spotify.

It's almost a daily nuisance to deal with this locked homescreen. And it just horrible for Spotify to ignore the request with a semi-arrogant 'Not right now' after this subject gained traction. At least explain, why you are ignoring request from paying users - we all know it's a revenu-stream for you to push content on the frontpage, but it's ruining the user experience. You need to listen to your users,**bleep** we should move this dialogue to the @Spotifycares on Twitter, where they at atleast are forced to answer.

Yes we need customised home screens, I had issues with unknown music playing on it's own , music I don't or never have heard of or listen to start randomly playing and I still can not get rid of them from the good evening tab. Songs started playing randomly even after I changed songs it would switch back after 50sec I. I he to contact support witch I then ended up fully uninstalling Spotify and reinstall to stop it happening. Now the lists won't go away and I can not remove them. 🤬🤬🤬 So yes home screen needs to be customisable.

Yes, add some customize Start screen, and ban some adult content in spotify its so annoying and add some report button for shortcut, so annoyyingggg, please do some work spotify. i never searched for adult content and its pop up on my home screen, and it stuck on shortcut for real>??.. please do some work!

Having the same issue with adult content, and can’t seem to figure out how to remove it from my homescreen. Removed Spotify and it was gone for one day and all of the sudden it popped back up. 
My kids asked me, why I was listening to adult podcasts, when my homescreen showed up on Apple Carplay. Come on!! I just read that podcast are Spotify priority right now, since you make more money with it and you don’t have to pay the artist, if it’s listened to. WELL I DON’T CARE ABOUT PODCASTS. Let us change the homescreen like we want it to be since WE are the paying customers.

So this has over 1700 votes and it's pushed aside to "not right now"?  We really should be able to customize and tailor our start screen here guys.  I don't want to see half the content you push in there.  I have ZERO interest in podcasts.  I have ZERO interest in 90% of what you push on this start page.  Let me tailor it the way I want and remove the things I don't want to have to see or wade through trying to get to content I want, like, oh, I don't know, how about my playlists?  As a paying customer, not allowing us to tailor our experience makes not sense whatsoever.  You could easily have tabs that we could close or remove based on what content we want to see.  I pay for Spotify for MUSIC.  NOT PODCASTS.  I know you guys are all CRAZY about podcasts but you know what?  I DON'T WANT TO SEE PODCASTS....EVER.  Why do you not listen to your paying customers???

Bit confused as to how listening to music from the beatles has made spotify think I want to listen someone talk about any of the topics circled in red, remove please!

After training amazon music during the free trial, I see sensible recommends, and no podcasts, so seems I'm swapping, thanks spotify.

If Tidal's home-screen wasn't almost the same as Spotify, I would have switched already.  I'll check Amazon next, thnx for the idea Cooky.
