[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

pls add an option to disable Hindi language

I'm so frustrated to find all genre's playlists filled with Hindi songs

I had my account hacked last week and although I managed to delete the playlists the hacker created, I can't get rid of their shortcuts, which are the first thing on my homepage. This seems stupid.

As a paying member, I expect to be able to control my own account and what I see. How can it not be possible to remove links and content that a hacker has added to my account?

Hi I have seen this as my homepage for some time and it is disturbing for my emotional well being. Appreciate the customisation so I can remove it.

I agree. It can be really stressful when your privacy and online security
is compromised. So, the last thing you need is to see is a reminder that
you've been hacked every time you use Spotify. I use music to relax or take
my mind off everything that's going on.

Sorting this out should be a priority not just for customisation, but for
wellbeing. In my opinion the team who prioritise new functionality have
really underestimated the importance of this feature. It's not just about
customisation at all.

Opening Spotify just to get scared by this on my home. Paid for premium service to shorten my lifespan is it? Can't even remove it or block it.

Pleeeaase implement this. Right now the Carplay version of Spotify completely aggravates me by burying all the things I do want  to listen to at the ends of lists several layers deep. Instead it keeps a multitude of items I will *never* want to listen to in the prominently forefront.

I have just started a new Idea - https://community.spotify.com/t5/Idea-Submissions/All-Platforms-Your-Library-Allow-hacked-users-to-r...

I don't think directing hacked users to a thread on customisation is appropriate.  It's a mental health and wellbeing issue.

So if you are here because you want to get rid of unwanted content your hacker has placed in your account, check out the new thread.

Hey folks, the crooks at Spotify have made it known they have no intention of supporting this "idea" and, given their cookie-cutter response to many of the other "ideas" (their communicating TO US is just for show), it's clear they don't give a rat's behind about what the customer wants. Am I right? Well, yeah, I kinda am, Mr/s Spotify. I'm the customer and, regardless of what "business school" you attended, the (paying) customer is right...always has been, always is and always will be. While I can't say my direction is for everyone (maybe it should be), I'll be dropping down to the "free" service. Considering I've been known to tell people, "If you don't like it, don't use/buy/watch/recommend it", I guess I'll have to practice what I preach. In the end, I'll dislike my inability to customize the start screen less once I'm no longer paying to not be able to. LOL. Can I get an amen?

On my spotify Desktop and mobile, I am greeted by some horrifying looking thumbnail under "Stories with repeating", at the same time various foreign language content which I believe is not in my preference. I have never browsed content on spotify beyond my native language.

I feel discomfort seeing these content whenever I open my spotify. Can we get a change please?

Maybe once you first start up your account on Spotify, a little popup appears asking you questions like, "Who are your favorite artists?", "What are your favorite moods and genres?", "Do you like to listen to any playlists?"  "What decade(s) do you like to listen to?"  You can access this questionnaire any time in the settings, which helps if you didn't create the account at the time the feature would have been implemented.
