This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Jesus Christ dude wth is wrong with Spotify UX leadership. This is an ongoing issue for over 7 years now. Honestly I wish another company would buy you out and get some standard UX features going, this is the tip of the iceberg.

Ability to have control over suggestions in Home screen for the paid tier. I absolutely despise the suggested commercial content which isn’t even related to anything in my library. Free account- no problem, but paid tier should have a toggle to choose whether to serve suggestions or turn them off. That’s why I am paying for music so I have full control. Plus the home page is so crowded with soooo many types of suggestions that it looks like Microsoft software. Where is the simplicity and helpful features gone? It’s becoming too complicated. Please simplify the home page, I don’t even look at it anymore - it’s unrelated noise

Currently Spotify chooses what goes at the top of my home screen probably based on what I have listened to in the past. I would like to curate that. Sometimes I listen to things that I no longer want to see it would be good if I could at least remove Items at the top

My landing page is useless, a few music recommendations and then many, many podcasts and videos...

Since Spotify won't give us the option to disable podcasts and videos directly, how about a better landing page, where we can just hide suggestions from podcasts and videos directly and just focus on what's Spotify is... An app for music.

I miss so much new music just because the landing page is a cesspit of useless podcasts, please let us focus and what we like!

And, no, I also do not want audiobooks.

I always get the same podcasts recommended that I DONT want. It cant be so hard to create a button that removes certain podcasts from your recommendations. 

Also the homepage is so chaotic with 7000 different tabs and colors. As someone with autism it is really difficult to navigate it. 

Cant you simplfy it?

Spotify's "audiobook" recommendations are awful, terrible, embarrassing, extremely dumb, and utterly useless. I never listen to audio books with Spotify, I never have and I never will. I have absolutely no interest in audio books. I do not want Spotify's audio book recommendations. I want to completely turn them off, I want them to disappear forever, I want to have a switch in my app settings that says "Turn off audiobook recommendations" so that this totally useless garbage will never clutter my home screen with its seemingly endlessly idiotic suggestions about conspiracy theories, orgasms, cooking, and the Third Reich. This algorithm is utterly braindead, totally fried, and more desperate to get my attention than an all-caps clickbait article. Give your users the option to shovel this garbage out of their home feeds.
