[All Platforms][Other] Multiple equalizer presets for different devices

I would really love it if you added the ability to add custom Spotify presets. I use different custom equalizers for different speakers/headphones and it always gets frustrating having to change it every time.

Hi,

I used a special equalizer app on my Android to fullfill exactly this requirement. I had different presets for my car, headset, bluetooth speaker (also separate presets for different rooms). Since I've switched to streaming my music with Spotify the app isn't working any more.

It would be great to implement the feature to create and save different presets,

OR

build in a button to completely deactivate the equalizer in Spotify (for usage with third party equalizer apps).

Best regards

I agree that the EQ settings are a bit tenuous to access, however I think the main point is that we get the ability to save custom EQ settings. I have to adjust the EQ every time I plug in headphones, or listen from my desktop, or bluetooth to my car. Since my car has subwoofers, I have an extremely awkward EQ setting on my phone, and it's a pain to reset it if I customize the EQ for some other listening device.

Edit: The problem with this idea, is that it has aged out so many times, so we always have to start from square one when OP reposts. If you strongly agree with this idea, then share it to your social media platforms and let's get some increased visibility on it. Hopefully spotify can't ignore it if we get 1k+ upvotes on this issue.

It seems this idea died already once or twice, but I think it’s a good time to revive it

tha basic premise is that the audio quality for Bluetooth as not as good as for wired or WiFi options. To battle this it would be great to have custom equalizers for each connected Bluetooth device to correct the shortcomings of those devices:

- each new connected Bluetooth device would be treated as normal until a new equalizer would be created for it (not to have clutter)

- Spotify would turn on the eq when a device would be connected and turn it off when it disconnects

I'm a premium user and cannot even access my equalizer and other sound options,  cannot figure out why

I absolutely agree, finally the topic is revived again! There is really a shortage of such an app, and it would be just great if Spotify would do it - one more reason to switch to Spotify!

Spotify is my main music source; I play music through my airpods, while commuting, I use Apple Carplay and at home through my JBL BT speakers. Each device in a different surrounding (in-ear, in the car, in my bathroom or livingroom). Therefore I would like to be able to save some equalizersettings and give them their own settingsname (e.g. in-ear, car,...)

If you agree, PLS back me up with some kudo's! THX
