I think it would be cool if Spotify had “Badges” you could earn. Badges could be shareable to Social Medias and what not like, “Jordon earned the Platinum award for listening to every Logic song on Spotify.” Or “Jordon earned the longevity award for listening to Spotify for 40 hours straight! Wow!” Stuff like that. Badges could be displayed on your profile when people view it. This could make Spotify more like a Social Media.

I would only endorse this if there is also a way to leave it out of your sight for people who are not interested in it and would like a clean interface.

Although there might be something to it, I dont think this is it. Novadays I love that when someone genuenly likes music, you can see it on his profile by how much work he had put in, whether it is for him to look through it better or if he shares it, then especially. I worry (and strongly believe) it would in a sence disprove those profiles and other that wanted to "have a badge" would shine instead of it. Just as it has happened virtually everywhere possible. Steam is a perfect example of this, where ppl would turn games on at the morning before the leave the house just so that they have more hours "played" on their steam profile.
Please do not try to make a (so far almost pretty **bleep**ing good) streaming platform in any sence more like a social media!

Badges sound fun but I don't really like the idea of "competition" and "social media" much into my music streaming. Badges are cool but I dont want no leaderboard kind of thing? Do we really need social media into everything?

Also  I agree with ztelesnenyvanoce, it would encourage people to do it out of numbers and validation not because they genuinely care and like the music

That's what we have spotistats (stats.fm) for lol. 10x better than Spotify wrapped

Really, this type of badge would be very interesting, it would also include a badge of how old the user uses Spotify, etc. Maybe include some badges here from the community. The badges could appear on the person's profile on all devices.
