[iOS][Discover] Restore Touch Preview on iOS App

Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

They need to bring it back. They should not have removed it in the first place. Who can be bothered listening to a whole song just to determine whether they like it or not. It's rediculous!

I'd do anything to get this feature back. It's so slick and a great way to traverse Discover Weekly / New Music Friday.

I think the numbers may have only shown low engagement because nobody knew about it. If you showed a tip or hint, people would definitely use it. Whenever I show my friends, they are super impressed by Touch Preview and become believers.

What a stupid decision, completely ruins spotify as a tool to explore and find new music.  Had just signed up to Friends and Family package but will now have to move to Apple as without preview the enjoyment of spotify has gone.

Ok so Spotify just released another update and I haven't seen any changes. Still missing the touch preview feature. Apple Music here I come.

Spotify has always been my favorite music app! However, with the removal of this feature how am I supposed to discover, sample, or try out new songs? It is a ridiculous and clearly not thought out update. I really hope it is changed, and soon.

Extremely disappointed by this! Used it all the time to browse new releases/discovery each week. I cannot believe people don't use it - perhaps they didn't know about it?

Please tell me they will bring it back and this only temporary! I've added so many new songs I didn't know because of this. I am very bummed they took it away! Is there someone I can message? How can I share this, so more people can vote?
