Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Please bring it back! It’s an essential feature for curating playlists and seeing that there is no other function assigned to this particular gesture (touch+hold or Force touch) there wouldn’t be any interference.

 

just my 2 cents, but I miss this feature badly!

I’ve left Spotify and moved over to Apple Music. They don’t have this feature but at least they don’t have a track record of removing perfectly good features and giving bs answers when customers ask why. If you ever bring back touch preview I’ll consider giving you my money again.

I miss this feature so much!  This feature was so helpful when I was trying to find the one song that I had forgotten the name of in a playlist with over 100 songs.

Very disappointed.

This was my no.1 selling point for getting people into spotify.

Please bring this back. I promise the reason for the low-engagement is because most people don’t know the feature exists!

 

i only discovered it by accident but it’s easily my favorite feature
