[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s). 

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Please upvote this idea to garner attention for it.  Thank you Spotify and the Spotify community.  Let's get this implemented so it's ready for general iOS 14 release this September!

Most of the time competition is good. But with Apple and Spotify it’s just making both worse.

Bought a homepod recently, however the user experience of not having a native implementation is seriously making me reconsider my family plan and moving to apple music.

I hate to come here every half a year to see that airplay 2 support is not yet implemented. Tragic

I wonder if the new Siri Airplay capabilities announced today at WWDC will allow us to get around Spotify's limitation here?

They showed a demo of someone telling Siri to play something with SoundCloud over Airplay. Since you can use Siri to control Spotify on iOS, now it will let you then relay that play request to AirPlay to the Homepod. It's not as good as Spotify playing natively on the Homepod, but still might be a big improvement (no thanks to Spotify).

I waited too long. I’m trying Apple Music and if it’s good I’ll cancel my Spotify account. I will miss the end of the year Wrapped though.

Don’t worry gunnermc, you get that on Apple Music too – it’s called Replay.
