App crashing for iOS free users when trying to connect to Bluetooth

We've received reports that iOS users of free accounts are experiencing app crashing when they try to connect their device to their AirPods via Bluetooth.

I started having the same problem about an hour ago. Speaker is a UE wonderboom 3, but it is also happening with my car. Software update and restarting the phone have also not worked.

Trouble Shooting
I’ve restarted the phone, uninstalled the Spotify app and reinstalled (restarting phone in between), and disconnected/reconnected Bluetooth devices

it keeps crashing when i open it. i have tried deleting then downloading it and deleting its data but it keeps crashing

I’m experiencing something similar. Spotify will not work with my AirPods connected. I’ve deleted the app multiple times, restarted my phone, cleared data and updated my phone, but whenever I connect my AirPods Spotify crashes repeatedly.

Whenever I disconnect my headphones off Bluetooth Spotify works but when I connect them it always closes

Hi I’ve been trying to figure out how to contact someone and this is the only way I’ve been able to so I’m very sorry if this is inconvenient or the wrong way. My Spotify has been crashing whenever I am connected to Bluetooth and I’ve tried everything I can think of, deleting and reinstalling Spotify, updating Spotify, restarting my phone, updating my phone, clearing cache.. if you know how to fix this I would be so greatful, thank you

I am having the same problem but only when my iPhone 12 is connected to Bluetooth

I have an iPhone 12 with Beats Studio Buds A2513 and anytime I connect my beats to spotify the app just crashes as soon as i click it and I dont even get the chance to listen to anything. It works perfectly fine without the earbuds, but as soon as I connect my phone to them (or any bluetooth device for that matter) spotify just crashes instantly. I’ve tried everything that everyone has said so far to no avail.

I am having the exact same issue.  It started today. Up until now, Spotify worked fine in my car via Bluetooth but now it crashes the second I open the app.

I use Jlab earbuds and each time I use them it crashes the app,it started doing today also!

You gotta log out and back in again. Was having the same issue, and this fixed it.
