App crashing for iOS free users when trying to connect to Bluetooth

We've received reports that iOS users of free accounts are experiencing app crashing when they try to connect their device to their AirPods via Bluetooth.

I’ve been having this problem too. I’ve tried shutting my phone off completely, deleting and redownloading Spotify, deleting my headphones from Bluetooth and adding them back, but nothing seems to work

Hey i’m here on July 30, 2024 and experienced this issue randomly while driving. Did all types of things to troubleshoot.. ie; phone restart, forget device on bluetooth, uninstall spotify/reinstall. 

None of them worked and i’m still trying. Spotify works perfectly fine when not connected to bluetooth but when i am the app closes itself.

I have tried it on multiple devices and I get the same results. As soon as I hook it up Spotify closes itself out. I’ve tried forgetting the device and that didn’t work. The speaker I am trying to use is an Anker sound core.

just fixed it. only thing you have to do is log out and then log in.

I’m having the exact same issue but on a IPhone 11, I’ve updated my phone and Spotify. Please I need help!!

Whenever i try to open my spotify app on my phone it closes by itself and if it does load sometimes if i even touch it it will close

hi guys, my spotify has been working perfectly with and without my sony earbuds and my speaker. now when i connect to my headphones and open spotify it closes abruptly. i don’t know what else to do. i’ve tried restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, clearing the app cache but none of these worked. i’m using an iphone X. please help me

I’m having the same problem and have already tried to log out and back in again and that hasn’t worked.
