Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders

We’ve recently received reports from users noticing that the Custom Order sorting option is missing inside folders on both Android and iOS.

Definitely having this issue. The only way I can make the "Custom order" sorting option appear is by filtering to "Playlists" in the main view in Your Library. It's not available in any other view or in any folder.

This is a blocker level issue for me and I suspect many others, so I trust that a fix is coming soon?

Was this not tested before release? And I can't imagine this is phone or Android version-related - it's not a case of the option being there and not working; the option has simply been removed. If this was phone/Android-related, then I would imagine that sorting wouldn't work, full-stop. It would be so much quicker if somebody on the helpdesk with an Android phone simply opened up Spotify - then you wouldn't have to ask so many irrelevant and time-consuming questions.

Just came here to post about this. It must have been the most recent update because the option is still there on my old phone, where I haven't updated the app yet. It's very annoying.

Mine is a Samsung Galaxy A26 (Android 16) and my father has the same issue on his phone, a slightly older Galaxy model

I've spent just an unbelievable amount of time organizing my folders with custom order. If this option isn't available anymore on mobile, a) I will be devastated and b) I'll just have to find an app where I can do that

We can all keep listing phones and Android versions, but it's a huge and useless red herring. The issue is that that functionality has been removed - end of story.

I really hope this is fixed ASAP. What is the point in having folders if you can't have the contents in the order of your choosing!

Any update on this, AlejaR et al? The option to sort via custom order is still there in both the web player and the desktop app, so clearly this has to be a simple bug in the mobile app.

It's making the mobile app pretty much unusable for us playlist folk at the moment.
