Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders

We’ve recently received reports from users noticing that the Custom Order sorting option is missing inside folders on both Android and iOS.

The custom order is only absent on my phone which is my main device for Spotify, but the app and browser version on my Windows PC has it 😞

The option is not available on either mobile or PC. Yes, Custom Order appears on PC, but whenever trying to move a folder around a forbidden symbol appears and you can't move anything. Spotify, Im tired of**bleep**. How do you manage to make your whole service worse with every update. Fix the UI, bring back the hearts for liked songs, the big cover artwork available with the size drag option for playlist display, allow for re-ordering playlists on the mobile app and, for the love of God, fix this issue already.

Nevermind, I stand corrected, it's just bad design, you can indeed move folders on PC, it's only mobile that is botched as usual.

I reported the exact same issue, and based on the time you posted this, happened at the same time as me.
I have hundres of folders within folders and then few days ago I noticed that my folders was all over the show.
On desktop still views them perfectly as the Custom Sort is avaliable, but on mobile its gone.

And the issue seems minor but when you more of a pro user with folders within folders with in hundres of folders this is a nightmaire.

Customer support basically told me it's not a bug its a new feature. So we are scr*wed. Im not sure how removing something qualifies as a feature.

Support directed me to this forum.  If they telling you its a feature. Id like to know what that feature is called.  "Not sorting"

Yes, we need an update on this and frankly it's insulting that we haven't got one yet.

I agree that removing a feature is not a new feature.

I'm not demanding a fix today, I just want to know:

1) Will it be fixed?

2) If yes, when will it be fixed?

The folder feature is basically the only reason I'm using Spotify over other services. If it's being downgraded, please let us know so I can move on.

If it's intentional it makes no sense that custom sorting is still available in the overall playlist tab and just missing inside folders. Unless they just forgot to remove it entirely and that will be the next improvement. I love paying for a service that removes useful features once a month (RIP what's new)
