Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders

We’ve recently received reports from users noticing that the Custom Order sorting option is missing inside folders on both Android and iOS.

I got 9.1.40.18 and it's now fixed. Side loading the newer APKs is the solution until the official upload rolls out.

The update just showed up for me on Google Play - version 9.1.36.1948. It allows me to sort folders by "custom order" now. Glad there was a solution.

Actually it did happen once before, but that was many years ago.

Thank you, I can confirm I did not need to update my app but a few days after this was posted it has amended itself and my folders are now in Custom Order sort. Thank you for your help!

My Question or Issue

When I go into a folder, my playlists are no longer set in custom order, and "Custom Order" is no longer an option when I go to select how I want my playlists within a folder to be organized. Is this just a bug that's going to be fixed? I like having all of my playlists sorted in a VERY specific way, and it's very frustrating seeing them all out of order.

This sounds like it might be connected to the issue reported in this Android thread. We've let the team looking into this know that you're also experiencing the same thing on iOS and we'll let you know as soon as we have any info to share.

In the meantime, it'd be great if you can check for any pending updates and let us know the Spotify version you're running afterwards so we can forward this to the team.

We'll be on the lookout.
