Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders

We’ve recently received reports from users noticing that the Custom Order sorting option is missing inside folders on both Android and iOS.

My Question or Issue

I have a folder of over 200 playlists arranged in custom order on my MacBook Air which, until yesterday, was mirrored on my iPhone. The iPhone playlists have rearranged themselves and I don't have the custom option on the phone. I've tried logging out of both, and deleting and reinstalling the app on my phone (which has incidentally lost all my downloads). I need them back in the order I have chosen on my phone! Any ideas, please?

This should be fixed in version 9.1.36.

I'm having the same issue. The app is up to date--background app refresh is on.

Updating to 9.1.36 did the trick. But I needed to reboot the phone before it worked.

That’s good to know, but I’m not being given any option to update - I’m still on version 9.1.34. I’ve deleted and reinstalled but it’s still the same version. The App Store doesn’t give me an update option for Spotify. Any idea how I can access 9.1.36?
It’s an odd thing as it was fine a few days ago!

@wendyr65 it took 5 days for me to get the update once it was announced. It rolls out slowly. It's coming!

I can finally use the custom order option on mobile, but if I want to set a specific order, I still need the desktop app. Many of us don't have a computer and would like to be able to organize everything directly from our phones.
