Hey folks! We've been getting reports about issues with login, playback and the Support site. This is now being looked into.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

May as well share operating systems and web browsers. At this point, at worst, it can't hurt. I'm using an Apple desktop and firefox.

Hello, I am experiencing this right now. What can be done?

LillianBayer

I'm on a chromebook, this is the second time this has happened this year, and it took Spotify all day to fix it

My Question or Issue

I've been listening via my work computer, all day, and at 2pm it stopped; nothing will play, no songs will come up, the lists are all blank or black or spinning, and I keep getting the ! with "Something went wrong." Everything else on the computer is working just fine. Spotify is the only app not working. And yes, I turned it off and turned it on again.

Same for Google Chrome on Mac Desktop. It still works on the app on my iphone though....

im pretty sure this error occurs for most users who are on Spotify too much, like i ALWAYS get upstream request timeout or some kind of server connection issue at least once a day and sometimes more, but i admit this is the first time ive gotten Audiences in Jwt are not allowed, that is how i found this little topic and i think i know the reason why but its gonna be a very hot take so you have been warned so now for my take on this so i personally think Spotify**bleep** or GARBAGE or just BAD all around in general and everyone working there probably needs to be replaced honestly... but you know that's just my opinion

I'm going to have to agree with you, spotify is really having issues this
year

Of those who actually replied with the requested info, two of us are using a non-mobile Apple OS and two of us are using Google Chrome.

As for this message:

That's not a controversial opinion, and yet, we're all still using Spotify. Also, I haven't seen the "upstream request timeout" error before, so it might just be an issue on your end.

I too am having this issue, I've never had this issue before. The desktop app seems to work just fine, haven't tried mobile, but the web app and the websites I use to retrieve data from Spotify are definitely not working. FTR, I'm using Firefox and Windows 11.
