Playback issues related to the next song in the queue

We received reports that upon attempting to play a song that's been added to the queue manually (via the Add to queue option), the playback stops completely and the play buttons on the Now Playing View become greyed out, thus preventing advancing to the next track.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

We're happy to announce that the queue playback should now be functioning properly for everyone running app version 9.0.8 (iOS and Android) and 1.2.53.440 (desktop). If you don't see the update on your end just yet, rest assured it's coming your way in the next couple of days.

 

To ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available, it's worth performing a clean reinstall of the app.

I am also struggling with this, ive refreshed my cache, deleted apps to make sure I have enough space and it's still doing this. I'm on the Android App. It will also happen if you skip a song it just won't play the next one at all

The title. It just stops playing after every single song. It doesn't go to the next one. Autoplay is on.
Not sure if it's necessary to mention this, but in the timeline it shows that the song is for example 4:41/4:41, so it's as if it paused at the last second. I can't unpause it or anything. What helps is switching to another playlist and then switching back.

By the way, I tried clearing the cache and it didn't help.

Reinstalling Spotify helped for about 5 minutes and then the same problem continued.

I am on Android and do not have premium.

My Question or Issue

When I’m listening to a playlist and I decide to put a song to queue, it won’t play and it stops and the controls turn gray and you can’t tap them and the playlist I’m listening to stop playing completely.

When a song is over, it stops. I can go to a different playlist and it will play one song and stop. It WILL play ads but after the ads are over it stops.

I am having the same issue. This worked just fine a week ago.

Having the same issue and haven't found a fix, the only workaround I found is to play a different song/playlist and then clear the queue

Yes, I reached out but they haven't responded. I'm trying to play my Playlist, but it also does the same thing with songs.

With my playlists, both personal or made by the app, the next song just won't play. Unless I go and do it manually.
