[iOS] Spotify Widget missing on lock screen

We've received reports from iOS users about the Spotify widget being invisible on their lock screen. When they attempt to view it from the from the notifications bar while the phone is locked, it appears blank.

To start investigating this behavior, we understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

If so and the issue persists, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.

Also just noticed that I’m having this issue and it’s driving my crazy. Sure hope it gets back to normal.

EXACT same issue! I had no idea it was there BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE IT. Smh

same here. iPhone 15 Pro, glad to hear other people have it as well, I tried restarting, re-installing, now I've stumbled upon this thread and feel relieved lol

I have this issue as well. Running Spotify v8.9.74.535 on both iPad and iPhone. The iPad works fine on iOS 17 and I  just upgraded to iPad iOS 18 and that still works fine. The iPhone has the black widget on iOS 17.6.1.  have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify. Rebooted phone, logged out and used my daughter’s login ( as it works on her iPhone 12 running the same iOS software and Spotify version) but it didn’t work on my phone.

i am also struggling with this issue. have tried removing, restarting and reloading and the widget is still black

This has only just started for me since updating to iOS 18. I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
