 every time i try get a premium individual it keeps saying im not eligible but won't tell me why?

Thanks for reaching out in the Community.

 

Could you confirm that you still get the same error, even when trying to subscribe with the link @Hubo posted? If yes, try the following troubleshooting options:

  • Try with a private / incognito window, where no data is stored.
  • Try clearing your browser's cookies and cache.
  • Try with another browser.
  • Try with another device, for example, a computer instead of a phone.
  • Try with another payment method (if available).

Thank you for your replies in this thread.

 

We'd recommend that you open the link of the subscription that you want in an incognito window  to avoid any issues caused by the saved cache or cookies in your browser.

 

It's also a good idea to try using different device or on a different browser. 

 

On another note, do you receive any error messages when opening non-trial links? In case you do, can you send us a screenshot of it? We'll investigate this further.

I have the same issue. Everytime that I click on the "Get Started" button to try to subscribe to Premium, I get the message "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium", added at the top of the table with the different plans. I am almost sure that this is linked to the fact that getting a month for free is not available in Quebec. But there are no other clickable link to subscribe without the free first month. I have tried the link provided above, brings me back to the same page. I have tried with an incognito window, another browser, another device, etc... same thing. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium. Can you give us an answer? I'm also in Quebec. Or should I continue with apple music?

I have the same issues as well. I am trying to link a postpaid phone spotify freebie to my account but I'm getting the same error.

that doesn't work for me...still getting the message : i cleared everything - and it doesn't work: i just want to subscribe... seems that Spotify do not want my business ?

You're in Canada? It took me over a week to made my subscription. They check my e-mail first, if I have a payment card.... 

Hi, I'm having a similar issue. I just canceled my Premium through Apple so I could purchase it directly from Spotify, but the system still says that I am ineligible. Is this from a time delay? It is currently 4/7/23, and the expiration of my Premium is 4/12/23.

It was an e-mail to confirm my account.

That link only connects to free trial options. It says I am ineligible for all of the plans 

I just started using Spotify, got about one week free of adds, and that was very nice, but now I just started to get adds.  So I like the service, I’m ready to pay to get rid of adds, but it won’t let me!  All plans say I’m not eligible (is it because I’m in Quebec province?  If so, wth I have plenty of friends on premium that live in the same area).  I saved my credit card in my profile, double checked that I’m signing in with my google email not fb or apple.  Using my browser instead of the app (tried both on my iPad and iPhone), nothing works.  Why don’t you want my money?!

The issue has clearly persisted for quite some time without a viable solution being offered. The only solution for me at this point is to cancel my spotify premium and go with a program that doesn**bleep** the bed when you try to renew.
