Thanks for that. I think I'm done with Spotify anyways, Rdio seems very nice.

Thanks Rion...just downgraded app..works perfectly now. The update wasn't all that significant anyway. Love spotify but the changes they've made lately have been premature..especially with the desktop application. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road for them.

will write this here too:

why is this still an issue? as others have said, as somebody who actually pays monthly for spotify i expect better than this. scrobbling is broken. radio never works and loads infinitely unless i'm on wifi, this has been an issue for basically as long as i can remember. so....i'm paying to listen to songs i could just put on my phone? love spotify but not dealing for much longer.

I've had other apps update more than once in the last week. So spotify, after claiming they have fixed the problem, not fixing this problem with a new update in over a week is complete crap.

I would understand if I was not paying for the service

Spotify is getting worse. The latest update is trash... I'm really disappointed. Scrobbling not working and my endless offline syncing problem. I've had it.

Now if only i could find an old version IPA... I got my iphone this week so i only got the latest version...

I had to search my computer for them. I have a Mac, and they showed up in Documents.

If this is not sorted in the next few days then I am leaving. I have trialled and like both Rdio and Deezer so I should have no issue changign over!

Hi,

Sorry for the incovenience. If you haven't already, please submit a support ticket on the contact page.

As you may understand, the admins are very busy people, constantly trying to maintain spotify This may have just slipped off the radar.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. As I stated, the admins are busy and they may have forgotten about this. That is why the best thing to do is to submit a support ticket. Make sure to reply to the automated email directly and a spotify agent will deal with the email. This will hopefully make the admins more aware of the problem.

How does one downgrade, using a Mac?

These steps are pretty much the same for Mac. I only had to search for the .ipa files on my computer, which ended up being in Documents.

Has anybody the old app? Must be 5.9 I think.

6.0 was the last scrobbling worked for.

It looks like Spotify IS reading this topic! 😉

Ticket is created ... hoping the fix will now come soon.

Some silly idea: Everybody who has the problem with the iOS-App (I think everyone who has updated the App) should create a ticket ... I know it's not a nice behaviour, but Spotify then knows how many people have this problem.

Hi,

It is not a bad thing to do (many people submitting tickets about the same thing). It is how software developers find out about bugs, if lots of people have the same bug and report it, they will realise that it's not just affecting one person and they will attempt to fix it.
