Account hacked

It appears my spotify was hacked and they changed the email and the password (how is no email verification sent?). Could you please reset my account as well as restoring all of my deleted playlists (of a week ago is fine).

Hello @rpaddock ,

 

Follow these steps to make sure no one hacks into your account:

 

1. Change your passwords (facebook, email-account.. at least that the thief doesn't have access to it. Could be the reason why you didn't receive an email about changing adresses)

 

2. Since you've said that someone changed the email-adress, you should get in touch with the Spotify staff by using this contact form: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-anonymous/. You need to verify that it is your account so please add as much information as you can (Birthday, ZIP, payment info/receipts etc)

 

If you'll receive an automated mail that leads you back to the forums, please reply to that mail (even if it's from "no-reply") and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. But if you get a case number, you don't have to do this.

 

Hope that helps and no one but you is using your account again!

Normally they need your date of birth, zip code and the last 4 digits of your payment card number as security verification. 😉
